2012 Olympics Video: Missy Franklin Wins Women's 100-Meter Backstroke

A day after gymnastics stole all of the United States-related headlines from swimming, Missy Franklin did her very best to take the limelight right back. In an absolutely thrilling display Franklin, a 17-year-old superstar-in-the-making, won the women’s 100-meter backstroke on Monday -- capturing her first of what figures to about ten million gold medals.

Franklin finished in the top spot with a time of 58.33 seconds. Australia’s Emily Seebohm took the silver with a time of 58.68, and Japan's Aya Terakawa won bronze with a time of 58.83.
