2012 Olympics Video: France’s Yannick Agnel Beats USA’s Ryan Lochte in Men’s 200-Meter Freestyle

| by Alex Groberman

At this point, it’s probably safe to say that France's Yannick Agnel kind of owns U.S. swimmer Ryan Lochte. On Monday, a mere day after he overtook Lochte in the men’s 4x100-meter freestyle relay to capture gold for his side, Agnel emerged victorious once again – this time in the men’s 200-meter freestyle.

Unlike Sunday, however, Lochte didn’t finish in second. Or third. That’s right, the new Michael Phelps looked more like the the poor man’s version of Michael Phelps – ultimately finishing fourth in what proved to be one of the most disheartening American swimming showings thus far in the Olympics.

Agnel finished with at time of 1:43.14; Lochte finished at 1:45.04.
