2012 Olympics Video: Aly Raisman’s Dad Gets Hated on by Some Random Guy

| by Alex Groberman

By virtue of her historic achievement in the women’s all-around, Gabby Douglas will inevitably be remembered as the face of the 2012 USA gymnastics team.

That said, it’s hard to look at Aly Raisman’s work over the past week and not acknowledge that, really, she has been America’s most consistent and reliable performer through thick and thin. Mind you, this is a girl who captured three medals, and was only a strange tiebreaker away from taking home a fourth.

Even with all her accomplishments, though, there is a case to be made that Aly was not the most impressive Raisman at the 2012 Olympics. No, we think that honor deserves to go to her dad, Rick.

This video, via SportsGrid, will explain why:

Patience. Focus. Dedication. Poise under pressure. In that short clip, Rick exhibited all of the traits you look for in a champion.
