The Montreal Canadiens Pregame Intro Is Nothing Short Of Legendary

| by Jonathan Wolfe

The Canadiens opened their Sunday game against the Tampa Bay Lightning with one of the coolest pregame intros you’ll ever see, complete with awesome 3D graphics, legendary moments from past games projected on the ice, and a torch bearing ceremony that leaves the ice (digitally) ablaze.

I’ve witnessed some sweet pregame intros, but definitely never anything like this.

If the Habs are trying to intimidate opponents with the intro, it seems to be working. They just sent the Lightning home packing after a 4-0 series sweep in round one of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The sweep is the first for the Canadiens in the playoffs since 1993, which just so happens to be the last time they won the Cup.
