New York Rangers defenseman Marc Staal was hit in the eye with a puck during the third period of his team’s 4-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night.
The gruesome incident took place with slightly less than six minutes remaining in the outing, and left the 26-year-old laying face down in a puddle of blood before he was eventually helped off the ice.
