Sometimes it’s easy to get a little too reflective during a week off.
The Green Bay Packers are undefeated through seven games. Their offensive is magnificent, but theoretically could still improve. Their defense isn’t great at this point, but that may just be the byproduct of defensive coordinator Dom Capers switching things up a bit.
And, of course, their stadium still rocks.
Somehow despite us knowing all of those things, though, a week off makes us doubt reality.

Already questions are popping up about just how good the Packers are relative to the Detroit Lions, who pounded the Denver Broncos 45-10 on Sunday. Without the Packers even having played a game, they’re already somehow less great after this weekend by virtue of a Lions win.
This is just the latest example of folks overreacting and overanalyzing things prematurely. There is still a lot of football left to be played this season and the defending champions may very well fall. But that hasn’t happened yet. And until it does, it’d be best for folks to not insinuate that a collapse is looming.
Instead, let’s focus on the good times. With the off-week having come and gone, here’s a little something to remind fans just how great this squad can be when it’s firing on all cylinders.
