Victim In Levi's Stadium Assault Left Partially Paralyzed, Attackers Charged With Felonies

One of the 49ers fans who was assaulted during last week’s bathroom fight at Levi’s Stadium is now partially paralyzed. The announcement was made by prosecutors during a court hearing for Amador and Dario Robellero, the men who carried out the attack. Both men are charged with felony assault with intent to commit great bodily harm.

"This was a brazen attack," said Santa Clara Deputy District Attorney Deborah Hernandez, according to ABC 7. "It was unprovoked, it was vicious."

Hernandez says the fight started when one of the victims tapped Amador Robellero on the shoulder to let him know a bathroom stall was open.

"This was caused by a mere tapping of the shoulder to let the defendant, Amador Robellero, know that there was a vacant stall," Hernandez said. "These are two individuals just standing at the bathroom waiting their turn, trying to make the line move."

One of the victims is still in the hospital being treated for severe brain injuries.

"He's had to have partial skull removal to relieve some of that pressure," Hernandez said. "And he is currently suffering from some paralysis."

The second victim in the attack was treated for head wounds at a hospital but has since been released. Amador Robellero, who attacked first, is being held on $350,000 bail. Dario Robellero is being held on $75,000 bail.
