The Tennessee Titans have been waiting a long time to get stud RB Chris Johnson into camp. He was set to make some $800,000 this season and pretty much everyone agrees that he’s worth way more than that.
But, finally, the team has agreed to a contract extension with him.
“BREAKING: TItans agreed to 4-yr 53.5 million deal with Chris Johnson. 30 guaranteed,” tweets Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.
That’s a huge chunk of money that will keep him in a Titans uniform for the next six years. Unless they cut him or trade him, but I think that’s just common sense.
He’s into camp in time to get some practice reps before being thrown to the Jaguars in Week 1. So he should be good to go fantasy wise even if they work him back a little slower. If you haven’t drafted, you can safely grab him with the No. 1 pick.
