Tim Tebow Points Out that Jets vs. Texans is the 666th Monday Night Football Game

| by Alex Groberman

The New York Jets will have a lot on the line when they square off against the Houston Texans tonight. Currently, the team sits at 2-2 on the year. If they win this game, not only will they avoid the indignity of falling below .500 – they’ll also make a serious statement to the rest of the league. If they lose, however, it will likely trigger a collapse of unprecedented proportions.

Mark Sanchez. Tim Tebow. Rex Ryan. Woody Johnson. All of them will inevitably feel the wrath of New York football fans if things don’t go according to plan.

Given how important this outing is, it would make sense if Tebow were to take to Twitter and express the magnitude of what’s about to occur. To announce that he and his team understand why a victory in this one is so vital, and that they'll do whatever they need to in order to earn that victory. Except that isn’t what he did.

Here is what he tweeted out:

Looking forward to giving God all the glory in tonight's 666th Monday Night Football game. Romans 8:37-39

Oh, so that’s why this game is so important. Makes perfect sense
