The Houston Texans got some good news on banged up QB Matt Schaub. He got knocked around a little bit on Sunday, but is considered day-to-day and he should be fine to play Week 6.
The news on Mario Williams? Not nearly as good. Williams suffered a pectoral injury in Sunday’s game and it’s pretty serious. According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, he’s done for the season.
“Mario williams is out for season with torn pectoral muscle and will have surgery this week,” McClain tweets.
This isn’t good. The Texans defense was improving and Williams had five sacks. Looks like they’ll use Connor Barwin and Brooks Reed to replace him.
