The New York media has undoubtedly been the MVP of the New York Giants’ Super Bowl run up to this point. It works hard. It doesn't turn the ball over. And it has even found a way to tolerate the generally intolerable Tom Coughlin.
In an effort to keep putting pressure on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, the good folks at the New York Post took a private email that Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen sent to her friends recently, and published it on the cover of their paper.
Here is the email, per the Post:
“My sweet friends and family,” the e-mail began. “This sunday will be a really important day in my husband’s life. He and his team worked so hard to get to this point and now they need us more than ever to send them positive energy so they can fulfill their dream of winning this super bowl . . .
“So I kindly ask all of you to join me on this positive chain and pray for him, so he can feel confident, healthy and strong. Envision him happy and fulfilled experiencing with his team a victory this sunday.
“Thank you for your love and support. Love, G :)”
And here is what the cover looked like (via The Big Lead):
Like we said a few days ago: this is fine. All is fair in love and Super Bowl media bitterness.
(Kudos to The Big Lead for the find)
