Somewhere in suburban Maryland, a small, angry man named Daniel Snyder is seething. Why? It’s not because his beloved Washington Redskins lost yesterday. Snyder is used to that. No, the reason Snyder is angry is because South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone trolled him good yesterday.
South Park aired a commercial during yesterday's Redskins game featuring Cartman, the serial entrepreneur, behind a desk at the offices of his new company, the Washington Redskins. Snyder, RGIII, and a team executive show up and tell Cartman he needs to stop using the Redskins name and logo because it’s offensive to them. You can probably see where this is going.
Cartman quips back that the Redskins trademark rights have been cancelled, so he’s free to use whatever he pleases from the team. Besides, he says, he’s only using the name out of honor and respect. Awesome.
Your move, Snyder.
