Although some of the recent news regarding Santonio Holmes hasn’t been all that delightful, not everything related to him these days is bad.
Holmes recently showed his love for the new offense and his new offensive coordinator, Tony Sparano. Holmes says the new scheme helps out quarterback Mark Sanchez and the wide receivers, as it gives them more freedom to do things.
According to the Star-Ledger.
“It allows us to have a little bit more fun. And to know when you mess up, it’s on us or the quarterback, because of a certain sight or certain be-where-you-are-supposed-to-be-at type deal.”
Holmes expects to see Sanchez do well in the new offense.
“It gives [Sanchez] options now,” Holmes said. “He doesn’t have to stare down one receiver to get him the ball. He can throw the ball wherever he wants to, based on the coverage.”
