Ray Rice Draws No Interest From NFL Teams After Reinstatement

| by Daniel Yancelson

Former Baltimore Ravens’ running back Ray Rice was reinstated by the NFL back in November after his legal issues, but according to reports, no teams have shown interest in signing Rice.

Free agency starts March 10 and Rice is free to sign with any NFL team, but some teams believe that despite the NFL being a league of second chances, Rice’s off-field controversies are too much to take on given that he may be past his prime.

Rice rushed for over 1,000 yards from 2009 through 2012 before falling to only 660 and four touchdowns in 2013. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry during those four years, and then in 2013 he averaged only 3.1.

Despite his 2013 decline and no teams having contacted Rice since being reinstated, many NFL sources believe that some team will eventually give Rice a second chance at the NFL.
