Ravens' Terrell Suggs Knows He Won't be Ready to Return in November

| by

When Terrell Suggs said he would return from his Achilles tendon injury in November, many thought he was nuts.

Now, the Baltimore Ravens pass-rushing linebacker admits that it is pretty unlikely. Suggs had surgery last month and is now able to walk without crutches. However, his rehab has been slow and there's no way he can return by November.

"We're just going to see where we land," Suggs said Thursday after the team's final minicamp session. "Maybe we were shooting too far. We'll see."

Suggs, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, had 14 sacks last season.

Although a November return is unlikely now, the 29-year-old still sees himself playing in the 2012 season.

"When we did the timetable, you kind of look at the month and I was like, 'Oh, I could be back by then.' But I'm not a doctor," he said. "It feels good now, I guess. I will be in a Baltimore Ravens uniform in 2012. The only question is when."
