Photo: Jets Buy Classy Full-Page Ad Congratulating Giants on Super Bowl Win

| by Alex Groberman

Generally speaking, the New York Jets aren’t the first team you would think of when you think “classy.” Between the incessant trash-talking, constant in-fighting between teammates, complete lack of guidance from the head coach and so on and so forth, the Jets are usually moreso associated with what’s wrong with the NFL than what’s right with it. Not today, though.

After their fellow (in name only) New York inhabitants won Super Bowl XLVI, the Jets took out an undeniably classy full-page ad in the N.Y. Daily News. It read: “Congratulations to the Mara and Tisch Families, Jerry Reese, Tom Coughlin and the entire [New York Giants logo] organization on winning Super Bowl XLVI. You played with passion and toughness, capturing a hard-earned and well-deserved championship.”
