Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick busted two ribs in Sunday’s awesome loss to the mighty Arizona Cardinals. Andy Reid says it happened on the second play of the game, but no one is buying that and there is a cloud of mystery around the whole situation.
Vick hasn’t been practicing and Vince Young has been taking the practice reps with the one’s. It’s widely believed that Vick has no chance to play against the New York Giants on Sunday night.
However, Marty Mornhinweg is playing the “look at us being all secretive and playing games” card by putting it out there that Vick could play. He says that he is “optimistic” that Vick will be able to play this week.
“He’s a tough guy and he wants to play. He’s tough mentally and physically and he’s doing everything he can, so we’ll see,” Mornhinweg said.
Look for Vince Young to be under center on Sunday night.
