After the Philadelphia Eagles ugly loss to the New York Giants on Sunday, the team had more worries than just the division loss and 1-2 record. Specifically, they were dealing with Michael Vick’s broken hand and Jeremy Maclin’s bum hamstring.
But, maybe things aren’t so bad after all. Today, the team got great news on Michael Vick, who doesn’t have a broken right hand after all. It turns out it’s just a bruise and he could end up playing this week so fans don’t have to stare at Mike Kafka making awful decisions with the football. There is still a bunch of swelling in the hand that needs to be dealt with, but at least there isn’t a break.

As for Maclin, he still has a balky hammy, but it’s not nearly as bad as the team thought. Andy Reid said today that Maclin is day-to-day. We’d expect Maclin to miss some practice time and be a game-time decision. We’ll know more as the week progresses.
Still, the Eagles are 1-2 and looked like crap on Sunday.
