When the NFL decided to move the placement of the kickoff from the 30-yard line to the 35-yard line, the Chicago Bears didn’t like it one bit. And for obvious reasons. There are times when Devin Hester’s returns are their best source of offense. So it was easy to see why they would hate the increased touchbacks that come with the new rule.
On Saturday night, they ignored it. Two different times.
They lined up and kicked the ball off at the 30-yard line two different times. It took the NFL’s V.P. of officiating Carl Johnson calling the stadium and telling them to knock it off for them to knock it off.
Our question is how the refs at the game didn’t notice and didn’t do anything about it. Really? You didn’t notice that they were kicking off from the wrong spot?
