Brown’s Johnny Manziel Lands Endorsement Deal With Snickers

Hate him or love him, Johnny Manziel has become very popular across the country since stepping onto the field for the Texas A&M Aggies in 2012. Manziel ended a very controversial college career after only two seasons. The Cleveland Browns selected Manziel with the 22nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Manziel has yet to take the playing field for the Browns and prove that he can have a successful career in the NFL. However, a number of corporations have already taken advantage of Manziel’s popularity. Thus far, McDonald’s and two Nissan dealerships in Ohio have featured the Brown’s quarterback in commercials.

Today ESPN reported that Manziel signed an endorsement deal with Snickers. Snickers’ most recent campaign revolves around the tagline “you’re not you when you’re hungry.” The campaign began in 2010 and has featured actor Robin Williams and Godzilla in commercials.

With the success Manziel has had off the field during the offseason, he continues to state his main focus is still on the football field. Manziel is fighting for the Brown’s starting quarterback position with Brian Hoyer who currently holds the role. Many speculate the rookie quarterback will take over the starting job soon enough.

Unfortunately for Manziel, his performance on the television won’t help him become the starting quarterback in Cleveland. Nevertheless, Manziel is still doing quite well for himself off the field. However, Manziel must work hard if he wants more playing time than air time on TV.
