Despite the loss Sunday, Denver Broncos defensive end Shaun Phillips received a touching message from his son.
“Sorry I let you down,” Phillips texted his son at 10:44 p.m. Sunday.
“It’s ok daddy u r still my hero,” Jaylan Phillips responded.
“Well at least we get to hang out now,” Phillips said.
The Seattle Seahawks crushed the Broncos on Sunday, ending in a 43-8 blowout.
Phillips apologized to fans on Twitter last Sunday night and shared the exchange he had with his son.
“Sorry we let you guys down,” he wrote. “Messages like this is the I my (sic) thing that make me feel better.”
