Broncos vs. Steelers 2012 NFL Season Opener Draws Huge Ratings

| by Alex Groberman

How many people wanted to see Peyton Manning’s neck square off against the Pittsburgh Steelers defense yesterday? A lot more than you would think.

According to NBC, the final game of what was a very entertaining football Sunday did an overnight rating of 18.0 – the highest mark ever for a primetime regular season game on the peacock network. It was also a full eight percent higher than last year’s debut Sunday night game between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets.
