Video: Rex Ryan Provides Media with Recipe for Failure After Jets Fall to 49ers

| by Alex Groberman

Rex Ryan was understandably ticked off after his New York Jets fell to the San Francisco 49ers 34-0 on Sunday.

Ryan's starting quarterback was awful from start to finish. His backup quarterback’s first throw as a member of the team resulted in a fumble. His best wide receiver got hurt. His defense, sans Darrelle Revis, was porous. And with outings against the Houston Texans and New England Patriots on the agenda for two out of the next three weeks, his problems don’t figure to go away anytime soon.

All of those problems ultimately manifested themselves into this mini Ryan rant after the game:

"I apologize for my language. I was going to say we got our butt kicked, but really (insert not-so-nice words here) ... there's no two ways, in or outs about it."

"It's obviously unacceptable," Ryan added. "It starts with the coaches. The players are not going to be in on Monday or Tuesday. They've got to dig deep, look down at themselves."

We’ve said it before, but we really mean it this time – stay strong, Jets fans.
