The Philadelphia Eagles can’t seem to stay away from rumors surrounding the draft, Marcus Mariota and their starting quarterback for the upcoming season.

The Eagles just acquired Sam Bradford in exchange for Nick Foles, but the former Heisman Trophy winner and the Eagles haven’t talked about a long-term extension, which has people talking about whether they will keep him or use him as a chip for a trade, reports

Bradford is in the last year of his contract. He is owed $12.985 million for this year, reports NBC Sports, but none of it is guaranteed, which means the Eagles could cut him and pay nothing. That’s why Bradford is looking to sign a long-term deal with the team, but the Eagles may be keeping their options open for as long as they can.

Eagles’ head coach Chip Kelly worked with Mariota at Oregon State University, and both have said in separate interviews that getting back together would be an awesome opportunity.

The Eagles hold the 20th pick of the draft, so they will most likely have to trade up to the top five if they want the Oregon signal caller, and could use Bradford as a piece of the trade.
