2015 NFL Draft Rumors: Could Dolphins Trade Up To Draft Amari Cooper, Kevin White?

| by Daniel Yancelson

The 2015 NFL Draft is less than two weeks away and the Miami Dolphins will soon be on the clock with the 14th pick in the first round. That’s only if the Dolphins don’t trade up to get a higher pick like some reports have talked about.

The Dolphins traded away wide receiver Mike Wallace this offseason, who had 67 receptions for 862 yards and 10 touchdown catches so they are in need of a big time receiver who can become the team’s number one weapon to help out quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

At 14 there could be plenty of options for the Dolphins, but if they want one of the top two receivers, Amari Cooper and Kevin White, they will most likely be gone that late. With Tannehill starting to prove he can be the man under center for the Dolphins, adding a big weapon like Cooper or White would improve the team a great deal.

If they choose not to move up, Miami could also opt for a weapon at running back with Melvin Gordon or Todd Gurley, who are both projected to go in the first round, or as experts report, offensive lineman La’ell Collins who will visit the Dolphins this week.

The Dolphins spend a lot of money making moves this offseason including the signing of pro-bowler Ndamukong Suh for $114 million, so it seems as though they are ready to make that next-level commitment to get back into the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
