Tons of Money is Being Spent on College Football Stadiums

| by

ESPN.com has a great article up about the billions of dollars being spent on college football facilities.

Street & Smith’s Business Journal looked at 1995 to 2005 and found that $15 billion was spent on college sports facilities.

If you thought the recession would have slowed that pace, think again. Baylor has started construction on a new $250 million stadium. Arizona is spending $378 million (!) just to expand one side of stadium and add 7,000 seats.

Arkansas is spending $35 million just for a football operations center.
