Katherine Webb Will be in Sports Illustrated, Possibly the Swimsuit Issue

| by Alex Groberman

The MVP of the 2013 BCS National Championship game has apparently already landed a new gig.

Katherine Webb, the unquestionable breakout star of this past Monday’s horrific showdown between Alabama and Notre Dame, will appear in an upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Let’s take a step back. While we know for sure that she will be shooting with Sports Illustrated some time soon, it is impossible to say with certainty that it will be specifically for the upcoming swimsuit issue. That particular issue is reportedly going to come out in February, and based on everything we’ve seen thus far, it is more or less done.

“@_katherinewebb: It's official...shooting with Sports Illustrated! #Blessed” how long til we get the break up tweet? #omgInsider

Of course, it’s not like it would be all that hard for the SI editors to make a last minute decision and insert Webb into the issue anyway. She has a ton of buzz right now, and pictures featuring her will get a lot more attention than those featuring some random, nameless model. Nobody is saying bump Kate Upton – but it’s not like they couldn’t find someone currently in the issue to replace if they really wanted to.

Or maybe Webb is simply doing a regular shoot for the regular Sports Illustrated and everyone is just overacting. Something about the terrible BCS Championship game and how because of her Brent Musburger had to register with the authorities.

Time will tell.
