College Football Recruiting: South Carolina Lands J.P. Vonashek

| by

Offensive line J.P. Vonashek committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday afternoon. He is a nice addition to the football team.

Vonashek is a 6'7", 275-pound offensive lineman from Brunswick, Georgia. Both Scout and 247sports have him as a three-star recruit. 247sports has him linsted as the No. 69 recruit in Georgia and is the No. 64 Offensive Tackle in the nation.

This lineman chose USC over offers from the likes of: Ohio State, Georgia, Florida State, Auburn and Tennessee.

The great thing about this kid is that he has a big frame that will allow him to grow. Expect a redshirt but also expect to hear a lot about him down the road. Coach Shawn Elliott will mold him into a great player.

This is the 16th commitment for the Gamecocks in the 2013 recruiting class and the third offensive lineman. Vonashek joins the Dillon (S.C.) duo of four-star center Bryce King and four-star offensive tackle D.J. Park.

Here is a good read on the newest Gamecock from the AJC - HERE. Welcome to Gamecock Nation Mr. Vonashek.
