The South Carolina Gamecocks added a top-notch quarterback two days ago when Connor Mitch of Raleigh, NC committed to USC.

Mitch announced his decision on Twitter account saying “JUST COMMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA!!!!!!" Mitch, a 4-star recruit, chose the Gamecocks over offers from LSU, Alabama, North Carolina, Auburn, Florida and several others.

Last season Mitch passed for 3900 yards and 51 touchdowns as a junior.

Mitch is the nation’s No. 11 pro-style quarterback prospect, the No. 236 overall prospect and the No. 9 prospect in the state of North Carolina according to 247Sports. Rivals rates the 6'3", 220 Mitch at 4 stars, the 15th best QB prospect in the country.
