Minnesota State Head Football Coach Todd Hoffner Arrested on Child Porn Charges

| by Alex Groberman

Minnesota State University head football coach Todd Hoffner was arrested on Tuesday afternoon. According to the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office, he is currently being held on suspicion of "use of minors in a sexual performance" and possessing child pornography.

The Mantako Free Press reports that Hoffner, 46, was taken into custody shortly after a search of his home uncovered items related to child porn. Police apparently received a tip on Monday morning that led them to conduct the inspection.

Hoffner was placed on leave last Friday, but everyone involved was very tight-lipped about the reason. He will be replaced temporarily by assistant coach Aaron Keen.

"The whole situation comes as a shock and is still a shock," Keen told the media today, while also noting that "the guys have responded really well.”
