One player’s uncontrollable exuberance and one referee’s unflappable dedication to his craft produced what is probably the best sequence of this sports weekend.
During Saturday’s Illinois versus Wisconsin game, Illini quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase scored a touchdown. To celebrate, he looked to high-five the person in closest proximity to him – a ref. Understandably, though, in order to stay unbiased and whatnot, the ref refused. Hilarity predictably ensued.
