Iowa heads into this weekend sitting at 1-1 and with a game against Michigan State about a month away, so what uniforms their squad is going to be wearing on Veteran’s Day probably isn’t Hawkeyes fans’ biggest concern.
That said, the good folks at The Gazette did manage to get a few shots of what they believe Iowa will sport on Nov. 10 versus Purdue, and it’d be rude of us not to pass them along.
Via the report:
This was on display at Scheels in Coralville on Wednesday afternoon.
It is the uniform Iowa designed to honor the military for the Nov. 10 Veterans Day game against Purdue. I’m not sure why Scheels would have this out if it weren’t for sale or licensed by the UI. Scheels doesn’t just throw stuff out there for the “what the hey.”
So far the Hawkeyes' year has gone like this: a barely squeaked out win versus Northern Illinois and a loss to Iowa State. It’s not totally inconceivable that Iowa could go into the Purdue game sitting at 3-6.
But hey, you know, at least the team will look good.
