Penn State vs. UMass is Going Down in 2014

| by

At least according to our friends over at Maroon Musket. The guys over at the UMass blog made note that the announcement of Penn State and UMass getting set up to play a game in Beaver Stadium in 2014 made the front page of ESPN.com's college football page.

Over the weekend UMass confirmed a number of future non-conference games for the Minutemen, including the September 20, 2014 date in State College. UMass wil also be playing Big Ten opponents with Wisconsin in 2013 and Indiana in 2017.

It is somewhat interesting to note that Penn State has yet to acknowledge the game, although we're sure UMass would not make such an announcement without having that kind of game set in stone on their end. Of course, Penn State has been a little pre-occupied this past weekend with the Blue White Game (observations, postgame video) and the festivities that go along with it.
