Jon Gruden found a good way to spice up an otherwise excruciatingly painful-to-watch Orange Bowl showdown between Clemson and West Virginia on Wednesday night.
About midway through the third quarter when West Virginia was still only leading by about 231231321 points, the announcing team pointed out a play card that Clemson was holding up. The card had a big picture of Michelle Obama; unfortunately, Gruden didn’t recognize our lovely First Lady. Instead, he said that Clemson had just held up a card featuring ESPN sideline reporter, Lisa Salters.
Here’s a helpful hint, Jon: when you’re done cruising the Opposing Views ‘Sports’ page every morning, click on over to our ‘Politics’ section. That should help you avoid future embarrassments like this one.
