Video: Fight Breaks out During China v. Georgetown Game

| by Alex Groberman

A brawl broke out during Thursday night’s game between the Georgetown men’s basketball team and the Bayi Rockets. The incident appeared to have initially begun when Georgetown’s Jason Clark took exception to a hard foul from Bayi forward-center, Hu Ke. The two exchanged shoves and, before long, the whole thing turned into a massive fight  featuring thrown chairs, tossed water bottles and blows being exchanged. The game was called off at that point.

After the game, Georgetown coach John Thompson III issued the following statement:

“Tonight two great teams played a very competitive game that unfortunately ended after heated exchanges with both teams,” Thompson said. “We sincerely regret that this situation occurred.”
