According to Chad Graff of Philly.com, Temple Owls basketball star Khalif Wyatt has been arrested on a prostitution charge.
Wyatt was celebrating his 21st birthday on Sunday night when he got busted for prostitution and resisting arrest.
Wyatt was one of the 28 people arrested in the two-day Atlantic City prostitution sting.
"We have just become aware of the charges and are still gathering information at this point," Larry Dougherty, Temple's senior associate athletic director, said in a statement.
According to Atlantic City police, Wyatt was arrested at 1:01 a.m. Sunday near a hotel at Montpelier and Pacific Avenues after he made an offer to pay for sex while on the street. Wyatt fled the scene when he saw a uniformed officer and was apprehended about 50 yards away.
Wyatt has a court date set for next Friday in the Atlantic City municipal court.
Wyatt will be a senior next season. The 6-4, 210-pound guard averaged 17 points, three assists and three rebounds per game for the Owls last season.
