Idaho Basketball Coach Ejects Assistant Coach From Game (Video)

University of Idaho basketball coach Don Verlin yelled at his assistant coach Chris Helbling and ejected him during a game against Northern Arizona last Thursday.

In a video (below) of the incident, Coach Verlin angrily tossed Helbling's binder down, screamed at him and gave his assistant a push out of the area, noted the Idaho Statesman.

The ejection didn't help as Idaho lost 72-65.

“We are aware of the situation and it has been discussed,” Idaho spokesperson Becky Paull told USA Today via email. “It was a misunderstanding during an intense, emotional part of the game.”

Helbling reportedly traveled to the next game, against Southern Utah, without the team.
