Fox News host Eric Bolling strongly disagreed with the firing of Rutgers University men’s basketball coach Mike Rice, who was caught on video berating players, using profanity and slurs, and throwing basketballs at them.
“We’re in the midst of political correctness crushing our ability to teach kinds, to discipline kids, to disagree with people or one another or kids,” Bolling said, per ThinkProgress.org (video below). “Our culture is in decline, but this is an example of our culture in free fall and I’m saying this because he got fired, not because of what he did.”

Rutgers Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Tim Pernetti actually regretted not firing Rice earlier, reports ScarletKnights.com.
“I am responsible for the decision to attempt a rehabilitation of Coach Rice,” said Pernetti. “Dismissal and corrective action were debated in December and I thought it was in the best interest of everyone to rehabilitate, but I was wrong. Moving forward, I will work to regain the trust of the Rutgers community.”
