The Los Angeles Lakers put up a surprisingly solid effort through about three quarters of Monday’s Game 5 showdown against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Coming in, everyone expected that Kobe Bryant and Co. would simply lay down en route to a 30+ point blowout. When that didn’t happen by the time the five-minute mark of the third rolled around, folks began to question whether they had perhaps buried L.A. too soon.
As it turns out, they hadn’t.
OKC would go on to beat the Lakers 106-90, and the momentum-fueled run that made the win possible was sparked by this ridiculous Russell Westbrook bucket:
Westbrook finished the game with 28 points on 12-of-25 shooting.
