Video: Lakers vs. Warriors 2012 Preseason Highlights

| by Alex Groberman

The new-look Los Angeles Lakers made their big preseason debut on Sunday night versus the Golden State Warriors. Unfortunately, most of team’s fans weren’t actually able to see it on their televisions. Because Time Warner Cable is currently trying to work out a TV rights deal with all of the major cable providers around, there were only three ways to watch this game:  1.) on TV if you have Time Warner, 2.) live, and 3.) via online stream (which is illegal and not something we in any way endorse.)

So, for all of you who missed yesterday’s fireworks, here is what everyone watching came away with: Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and Pau Gasol are going to kill the league. Forget all of the “chemistry takes time to build” talk – that only applies to teams that don’t have one of the best point guards ever. Unfortunately, as good as the starters are, that is how bad the bench was. L.A.’s reserves got absolutely destroyed. They couldn’t buy a bucket in the second half.

One preseason game is one preseason game, but the bench is definitely something to keep an eye on over the next weeks.
