Jonas Valanciunas is a really impressive young player. Sure, his production has been something of a mixed bag over the past four games – but that is the case with all rookies. You would love to see more consistency, obviously, but his two outings against the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder (in which he scored 12 points and 18 points, respectively) say much more about him than his two outings against the Brooklyn Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves (in which he scored 2 points and 4 points, respectively).
All that said, and all praise taken into account, Valanciunas got absolutely destroyed by Kevin Durant last night. Check it out:
For what it’s worth – Valanciunas was the Toronto Raptors’ lone bright spot in what ended up being a 108-88 rout.
