Earlier in the season, James Harden laid an egg when the Houston Rockets visited the Oklahoma City Thunder. (His old team.) On Monday night, when the Rockets traveled to New York to take on the Knicks, many wondered if a similar fate might befall Jeremy Lin.
Houston ultimately trounced the opposition with relative ease en route to a 109-96 victory – its third in four games. Harden led the Rockets with 28 points (on 50 percent shooting) and 10 rebounds. Lin wasn’t far behind him, recording 22 points (on nine-of-15 shooting) and eight assists. Four Rockets players finished in double figures.
Chris Copeland led the way for New York with 29 points on 11-of-19 shooting. Ray Felton chipped in 14 points (seven-of-18 shooting, but he’s dealing with a hand injury), too. All in all, two Knicks starters finished in double figures.
