There was a lot of hype surrounding the Houston Rockets after they traded for James Harden. When their new acquisition led them to a couple of thrilling victories, that hype grew exponentially. Since then, however, the Rockets (and their new marquee superstar) have sort of petered out.
They've lost four of their last five games since that 2-0 start. Harden has been unspectacular. And, frankly, the mediocrity that everyone saw in this team’s future prior to that fantastic two game start is beginning to show itself.
On Monday night, the Rockets put forth an admirable effort against LeBron James and the Miami Heat, but ultimately they fell (at home) 113-110. James Harden had 22 points on six-of-17 shooting. Jeremy Lin was equally unimpressive, racking up nine points on three-of-eight shooting.
LeBron James led the way for his Miami squad with 38 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
