Photo: Why Was Andrew Bynum Laughing After Lakers vs. Thunder Game 2?

| by Alex Groberman

Andrew Bynum’s maturity, or lack thereof, has been a popular topic of discussion over the last year. As he’s continued to develop into arguably the best big man in the NBA from a physical and skill standpoint, folks have begun to notice that Bynum seems to lack the sort of attitude, hunger and, really, common sense necessary in order to be an elite player in The Association.

That questionable attitude was on full display this past Wednesday night, as the Los Angeles Lakers ultimately choked away a game they absolutely had to win versus the Oklahoma City Thunder. After his team’s heart-wrenching 77-75 loss, Bynum could be spotted walking off the court laughing. Yes, seriously – the dude was laughing.

Now, there could be several explanations for this. Maybe Bynum’s laugh was one of frustration. You know, one of those laugh-to-keep-from-crying type deals. Plenty of people laugh in uncomfortable situations, just because they don’t know what else to do. Or, maybe he was laughing at the sheer stupidity of his team’s final play. Or, maybe he was laughing because he’s a horrible guy who doesn’t realize/care that his team just kissed any shot of a championship goodbye.

Either way, laughing after a big postseason loss – never a good look.
