It’s not all 66-point Kevin Durant outings and Stan Van Gundy dribbling tricks during the NBA lockout. As usual, Minnesota Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley had found a way to turn something fun -- last night’s Durant v. Beasley duel at Dyckman Park -- into something rather unfortunate.
At some point in the second half of that game, Beasley began going back and forth with some fans under the basket. (By the way, why exactly are the fans allowed to literally stand on the court at these games?) Anyway, among the gems he reportedly shouted was the ever-classy, “I get paid to do this.” The verbal barrage -- annoying as it is -- wasn’t the worst of it, though. The worst moment of the evening came when Beasley walked over to fan Garland Quince and shoved him in the face.
Luckily, security intervened before things went from bad to catastrophic.
