The moratorium has been lifted. Most of the moves that have been agreed to should become official starting today. In the meantime, more deals.
*Rashard Lewis agrees to a 2-year, $2.8 million deal with the Miami Heat*
Shard's body has deteriorated over the past few years and he hasn't been the same since he was traded from Orlando. And I can say all these things about him being done and we'd cringe over him struggling to stand while he's on the court.
And then he'll laugh in all of our faces when he makes 10 3-pointers in a title-clinching NBA Finals game. I feel like a similar situation has happened before. Hmmmm.
*Ersan Ilyasova agrees to extend with Milwaukee for a 5-year deal that could be worth as much as $45 million*
This deal was agreed to a couple of days ago.

That's a lot to live up to but Milwaukee's committed to staying with their core. Ilyasova averaged career highs last season of 13.0 points and 8.8 boards. In one game, he put up 29 points and 25 rebounds. So the Bucks are probably keeping something special here.
Considering that Ryan Anderson got a similar deal, the one for Ilyasova ain't too bad.
*Tim Duncan agrees to a 1,483-year extension with San Antonio*
(Okay, it was really about three years and $36 million... but, seriously, did anyone expect Duncan to leave the Spurs?)

*Lou Williams goes to Atlanta for the midlevel (length of deal not known)*
So they're basically getting another Jamal Crawford. Just shoot whenever! It's all good!
But this actually works for the Hawks. He's going to come off the bench and provide instant offense in this iso-heavy Atlanta squad. Lou led the 76ers in scoring with 14.9 points per last season and was second to a certain bearded guy in the Sixth Man of the Year award.
It's cool. I mean, it's for the midlevel so it isn't a big deal to the Hawks' newfound cap room. It's not like the Hawks are expected to go anywhere.
*Memphis keeps Darrell Arthur for 3 years, $9 million*
Arthur was out all of last season but the year before, he was a very good back-up to Zach Randolph. He averaged 9.1 points and 4.3 boards off the pine in 2010-11. And if he can provide some of that production next season, that's fine.
This gives Memphis a really deep frontcourt with the return of Mo Speights. His quickness at the 4 spot will be a good change of pace for the normally punishing, physical play of the Grizz. Hope Arthur regains that mojo from that cinderella Memphis team.
*Jerryd Bayless goes to Memphis for 2 years, $6 million*
Toronto didn't extend a qualifying offer to Bayless, who averaged 11.4 points in 31 games last season. So Memphis is getting him since O.J. Mayo himself didn't get a qualifying offer from the Grizzlies. Bayless, a combo guard, will be a good back-up for both Mike Conley and Tony Allen. And it didn't cost Memphis much so this one's a good deal. While you can't expect Bayless to be an awesome defender, he is being brought in to provide instant offense off the bench.
