Although it seemed like the Golden State Warriors were not going to lose another game all season, the Memphis Grizzlies put a stop to their 16-game winning streak with a 105-98 win Wednesday night.

The Grizzlies started the second quarter with a 20-0 run that swung all the momentum their way.

''They punched us in the mouth to start the second quarter, and that was the difference in the game,'' Golden State coach Steve Kerr said.

The most impressive thing about the run is that they did it with all their backups in the game. Vince Carter caught fire; he scored 11 points during the run and ended the game with a season-high 16. Backup pointguard, Beno Udrih dished out eight assists and added six points.

This judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:

Marc Gasol led the Grizzlies with 24 points and added seven rebounds. Both Zach Randolph and Mike Conley had 17 points, and Randolph completed the double-double with 10 rebounds.

For the Warriors, this is their first loss since Nov. 11 when they lost to the Spurs, which is also the last team to beat the Grizzlies before their current five-game winning streak.

Steph Curry struggled from beyond the arc—shooting 1-10—but still got 19 points, six assists and seven rebounds. Klay Thompson led the team with 22 points. He was 4-5 from the three-point line and 8-16 from the field. Marreese Speights scored 18 points off the bench and added 8 rebounds in the loss.

The Warriors still hold the NBA’s best record at 20-3 and the Grizzlies are right behind them with 20 wins and only four losses.

The Grizzlies will try to make it six in a row when they travel to San Antonio to play the Spurs Wednesday night, while the Warriors next game is Thursday when they host the red-hot Thunder.
