Lakers’ Metta World Peace Adds Insult to Injury, Bashes Thunder’s James Harden

| by Alex Groberman

Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace and Oklahoma City Thunder reserve James Harden have a somewhat interesting history. You’ll recall, Peace once tried to decapitate Harden. Then, presumably in retaliation, Harden gave Peace a little smack in a different game. The pair also exchanged some words through the media – but nothing all that entertaining.

Naturally, when OKC booted L.A. out of the playoffs, we figured this rivalry was done. What more could there possibly be to say, right? As it turns out – lots.

With a little less than 20 seconds remaining in Sunday’s Game 3 showdown between the Thunder and Miami Heat, Harden committed a particularly stupid foul that sort of ended up clinching the game for Miami. Check it out:

Peace -- who, mind you, was watching this from home because his team got destroyed by OKC -- offered this take on Harden’s boneheaded play:

Shots. Fired.
