The Los Angeles Lakers desperately needed a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night. With the race for the Western Conference’s eight seed heating up, none of the teams in contention for it can afford to have any slip-ups at this point.

Unfortunately, because L.A. is essentially a one-man show right now despite all of big names on its roster, the Lakers fell to OKC 122-105. This defeat puts them three and a half games behind the Utah Jazz for the West’s final playoff seed, and makes the already seemingly impossible goal of sneaking into the postseason seem even more unattainable.

If you are a Lakers fan in need of some inspiration, though, look no further than Kobe Bryant’s twitter account. Here is what he posted after the fact:

"Rule number 76. No excuses. Play like a champion" Vince Vaughn. Wedding Crashers.

Yeah, the Lakers suck and probably won’t make the playoffs, but at least Kobe is getting to be a pro with social media. That’s something to be proud of, right?
