Kobe Bryant Reacts to Mike D’Antoni Becoming the New Lakers Head Coach

| by Alex Groberman

The fallout from Jim Buss’ decision to make Mike D’Antoni the next head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers has been deafening. Critics. Supporters. Phil Jackson and his representatives. Everyone has weighed in on D'Antoni hiring over the past 24 hours. Interestingly enough, the only person who hadn’t really weighed in is the guy who supposed played an instrumental role in Mike Brown getting fired in the first place. (If you believe LeBron James, LaMarcus Aldridge and Lamar Odom, that is.)

What does Kobe Bryant think of Buss’ decision? He posted the answer to that question on his Facebook account. Check it out:

It's been a wild week to say the least.
I’m happy to have closure and can't wait to get to work with Coach D'Antoni.. spacing, ball movement. And despite the chatter, I believe we will be phenomenal defensively. I’m looking forward to getting started with him and his staff this week.
Mamba out

So there you have it. Kobe is cool with the hiring, despite his words of praise for Phil Jackson a few days ago. All is fine in Laker Land. Nothing to see here.

Groberman out.
